Free Outer Space Crafts for Children

Outer Space Crafts

We are having fun blasting off with these outer space crafts in today’s newsletter. We have everything from crafts about how to get to space and some silly ones about creatures you might see.

In today’s first project we are building our very own pretend rockets. This is the first step to starting our space adventures. We are refining small motor skills while wrapping paper towel tubes. You may add stickers or paper punchouts to add even more decoration. Click the image below to find out more.

While we blast off to space we might see some shooting stars. In this next craft, we work on our scissor skills by cutting out spirals and stars. I can not tell you how beautiful it is to see a classroom ceiling full of these stars and rockets. It is sure to inspire your little artist’s imagination.

Speaking of imagination, we are using it to imagine what an alien might look like? We are making our own unidentified flying object with an alien driving. It is sure to make your little artists laugh. For younger artists, I help by cutting out the alien but letting them glue and decorate however they would like. Click the image below to make your own.

Outer space can never have too many stars. In today’s final project we are sharing some of our free scissor skills worksheets. We print these patterns onto yellow and gold color paper and let the children refine their motor skills while adding to our outer space decore.
