Solar System Crafts
We are having fun creating and making Solar System crafts. Your little artist will learn how many planets are in our solar system. What is in the center of our solar system? Also, how do we travel in space?
We start by making the center of our solar system with this creative sun craft project. We will refine small motor skills while ripping and gluing pieces of tissue paper to make this art project. Click the image below for the free pattern.
Sun Craft Project
This is a fun craft to make multiples of. You can pick paint colors to represent each planet. Teaching the little artists not only about color theory but what the color of each planet is. Mixing various shades of paint is sure to keep children engaged.
This project may be broken up into a couple of week project. Each day we make and learn about each planet and color. Simply print out the pattern and make each planet. You can choose to display these up in the order of the solar system as well.
What are the colors of each planet?-
- Mercury – Grey.
- Venus – Brown and grey.
- Earth – Blue, green and white.
- Mars – Red, brown, and tan.
- Jupiter – Brown, orange, and tan.
- Saturn – Golden, brown, and blue-grey.
- Uranus – Blue-green.
- Neptune – Blue.
