Free Winter Sports Crafts for Preschool Children

Free Winter Sports Crafts

While the weather might be bitterly cold outside we are having fun keeping warm and making winter sports crafts inside. In today’s newsletter, we are learning about a couple of sports traditionally played in the colder months.

While this first craft can technically be played all year the season runs from October through May in the United States. We are using sponges to paint our own Basketballs. But you may choose bingo daubers, paintbrushes, Crayons, or whatever your little artist chooses. Click the image to print and make this basketball craft.

We are practicing our scissor skills on this next winter sports craft. We are decorating and cutting out our own bowling pin. While your little artist might recognize this game from a birthday party it is a real sport. Click the image below to print and make your own bowling pin.

Today’s final craft is perfect for using up all those miscellaneous craft supply bits you might have laying around. Gather your mismatched color pom pom balls, confetti, paper punches, and more. Your little artist may use all these supplies to design ad make their very own hockey jersey. They can glue, tape color, and paint until their little heart is content. Click the image below to print out your own hockey jersey pattern.

(We used washi tape to design the hockey jersey below.)
