Fun and Easy Healthy Food Crafts For Preschoolers

Healthy Food Crafts

We know children learn best when they can be hands on. So today we are teaching your little artist with these healthy food crafts. We are basing today’s crafts on some of your little artist’s favorite fruits and vegetables. Let’s get started.

Our little artists love grapes. You can make this craft in a variety of colors. In fact, grapes come in many colors, including green, red, black, yellow, pink, and purple. “White” grapes are actually light green. Based on whichever color bingo dauber you have you can design a bunch. Click the image for the free grape stem pattern.

We are sticking with grapes in our second craft as well. This time we are refining small motor skills by teaching children how to use a one-inch hole punch. You could use any grape color paper your artist chooses and set on a task to punch out a bunch of grapes.

We are switching from fruit to vegetables in our third healthy food craft. We are having fun making three peas in a pod. For the littlest artist, I will pre-cut and let the fold and assemble. Older children will cut out and assemble their own. A secret to this craft is to print the patterns onto color paper.

This project is great for counting, shape recognition, and basic math skills. Click the image below to print this project.

Our final craft might fall into two different food groups. Some say vegetable some say grain. We say it’s a fun corn on the cob craft project. Reusing the one inch hole to make corn kernels this time. If your little artist has a hard time using the hole punch you may use precut paper confetti instead.
