As the snow piles up outside our window, we have been busy in our art room. We are fortunate enough to have a room with all the art supplies we could ever need. It is nice to have a special place set up for just this reason. We have a kid-friendly cabinet which houses everything kids need to craft: glue sticks, safety scissors, construction paper, crayons, and washable markers. The best part is that we can shut the door on the mess!
Today we find ourselves with a snow day. Snow days can be fun. With a preschooler running through the house and bouncing off the wall, it might be great to have a project or two up your sleeve! For all of you parents trying to keep the little one entertained, here are three brand new projects.
Unicorn Crown:
Inspired by one little girl’s absolute love of all things unicorn, we designed and made a unicorn crown. The only thing children love more than making something is making something you can wear. Golf Ball:
With spring hopefully around the corner, we are thinking Spring sports. For some that means golf. This project uses bubble wrap and paint to give the golf ball its dimples. It’s a fun technique using the bubble wrap like a giant stamp. The golf ball project might even make a great Father’s Day gift! Heart Bunny:
Easter and Spring are hopping down the bunny trail! We are busy designing everything Spring. This adorable bunny is just one of the many new Spring projects we have coming soon. Using the bunny pattern and a little help, your child can create an amazing heart bunny. Your little artists can put together their bunnies any way they choose.
