Trip to the Forest

What are some of the things you think of when you think of the forest? I think of camping, stargazing, and listening to the animals.  With summer right around the corner, we are learning about some things we might see in the forest, or when we go camping.

You just can’t have a forest without trees! In our first project, we are making a tiny acorn to grow into a mighty oak tree.

We go from making the tiny acorn to creating the mighty tree. We’re using handprints to make trees for our forest friends.

In our next project we are making an animal you might see living in a tree, a squirrel. In our last project we used our handprints to make our tree; this time we are using our footprint to ‘pin the tail’ on the squirrel.
